Orlando Airport Transportation Guide

Orlando has two primary airports — Orlando International (MCO) and Orlando Sanford International (SFB) — plus easy reach to Melbourne (MLB), Tampa (TPA), and Daytona Beach (DAB). Choosing the right airport, the right transfer, and the right vehicle can make or break the start of a Florida trip.
MCO: the main entry point
MCO handles the vast majority of Orlando arrivals — domestic, international, and business travel alike. It is well laid out but enormous; a pre-arranged chauffeur with meet-and-greet inside baggage claim eliminates the lengthy hunt for a rideshare staging lot, especially at peak times.
SFB: the leisure traveler's secret
Sanford Orlando International is a smaller airport about 35 minutes north of the parks. Many leisure carriers fly into SFB; the experience is friendlier and faster but with fewer ground transportation options. A pre-booked Sanford car service is almost essential here.
Choosing the right vehicle
- Solo or couple: Luxury sedan
- Family of 3–6: Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban
- Group of 7–14: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter executive van
- Cruise transfers: SUV minimum, for luggage room
What private transfers include
A proper Orlando airport transportation reservation is fully inclusive: real-time flight tracking, meet-and-greet, luggage assistance, child seats on request, complimentary water, and a flat all-inclusive price. There is no surge, no haggling, and no rideshare uncertainty after a long flight.
When to book
Reserve at least 24 hours in advance — earlier during Disney peak weeks, spring break, and the holiday season. The most popular vehicle (the Cadillac Escalade) and the most desirable pickup windows sell out first.
